Freelance Canada

Given Benji Finance was focused on helping self-employed Canadians track their business expenses, I wanted to see how we could create resourceful content for this audience that wasn't your typical blog post that highlights the "top five x for Canadian freelancers." Plus, I knew that each content piece would take months before it started ranking high on Google search results so we needed a way to promote each content to people outside our immediate network.

This is when the concept for Freelance Canada podcast came about. I interviewed Canadian freelancers and industry experts, and published the episode transcripts as articles on our website. Before publishing the episode, I would provide the guest with shareable content so they could link back to the website and promote the episode to their audience. As much as this approach helped people learn about Freelance Canada, it also helped people discover Benji and improve our organic search ranking.
