Hi, I'm Mohammed

For the past five years, I've been working on a fintech startup with my technical co-founder, Jordon McKoy. During this period, we raised money from angel investors, pivoted our business multiple times, and painfully learned about building a venture-backable startup in a brutally competitive space.

Prior to my entrepreneurial adventures, I worked at bootstrapped startups, venture-backed companies, and two of Canada’s top five banks. Strangely, although I'm a marketing grad, most of my work experience has been as a product designer, product manager, and project manager.

I'm a naturally curious person, and this has led me to develop additional skill sets by working on a number of personal projects in generative AI, diversity and inclusion, and ecommerce. More recently, I've been learning how to edit and colour grade S-Log3 and D-Log footage in DaVinci Resolve.

Outside of work, I enjoy a fairly quaint lifestyle on Vancouver Island with my partner and our dog, Mr. Barley Waffles. During the week I workout, do yoga, and partake in a local run club. On weekends, my partner and I go on hikes, host friends for dinner, and take care of our plants.
